OFFICIAL SOUVENIRS

A souvenir is a philatelic item that is produced for the stamp issuance or event that the stamp is issued but does not contain a program listing.  If it is produced by the Postal Service or sponsoring organization it is an official souvenir.

 


Examples

In 1991 the USPS used the following generic souvenir with different issues cancelled FDOI and made available at ceremonies that had other official sponsors:
